SPX LABS • RESEARCH & ANALYTICAL EDUCATION
Peptide Research Library
Independent educational resources covering peptide analytical testing, HPLC purity, LC-MS, batch traceability and the scientific background of research compounds.
The SPX Labs Peptide Research Library is designed to help researchers understand both the scientific literature surrounding research peptides and the analytical evidence used to evaluate individual research-material batches.
Scientific Literature ≠ Batch Analytical Evidence
Scientific papers can explain what a compound is and what researchers have investigated. They do not establish the identity, purity or content of a commercial research-material batch. Laboratory reports provide analytical information about the sample tested, but do not prove every biological claim made about the compound.
SPX Labs keeps these two forms of evidence separate.

ANALYTICAL GUIDE
How to Read a Peptide COA
Understand peptide identity, HPLC purity, quantitative content, LC-MS and the information a Certificate of Analysis can — and cannot — establish.
ANALYTICAL GUIDE
HPLC vs LC-MS
Learn how chromatography and mass spectrometry answer different analytical questions when evaluating peptide research materials.
PURITY GUIDE
What Does 99% Peptide Purity Mean?
Why 99% HPLC purity does not necessarily mean that 99% of the physical material in a vial by mass is the target peptide.
TRACEABILITY GUIDE
Why Peptide Batch Testing Matters
Learn why a laboratory result from one batch should not automatically be applied to unrelated or future research-material batches.
INDEPENDENT ANALYSIS
Third-Party Peptide Testing: What It Actually Proves
Independent testing can provide valuable analytical evidence, but laboratory independence, sample provenance, batch traceability and analytical scope are separate questions. Learn how to evaluate the underlying evidence rather than relying on the words “third-party tested.”

Research First. Verify the Batch.
Understanding a compound’s scientific background is only one part of research-material evaluation. Where analytical documentation is available, researchers should also examine the evidence associated with the specific batch.
Research & Analytical Information Only
The SPX Labs Research Library is provided for general laboratory, analytical and scientific education. Discussion of published experimental or clinical research describes the scientific literature and should not be interpreted as medical advice or as establishing therapeutic suitability of SPX Labs research materials. Products are supplied strictly for legitimate laboratory research, analytical testing and scientific evaluation and are not supplied for human or veterinary consumption or administration.
