Peptide Research Library

Independent educational resources covering peptide analytical testing, HPLC purity, LC-MS, batch traceability and the scientific background of research compounds.

The SPX Labs Peptide Research Library is designed to help researchers understand both the scientific literature surrounding research peptides and the analytical evidence used to evaluate individual research-material batches.

Scientific Literature ≠ Batch Analytical Evidence

Scientific papers can explain what a compound is and what researchers have investigated. They do not establish the identity, purity or content of a commercial research-material batch. Laboratory reports provide analytical information about the sample tested, but do not prove every biological claim made about the compound.

SPX Labs keeps these two forms of evidence separate.

PURITY GUIDE

What Does 99% Peptide Purity Mean?

Why 99% HPLC purity does not necessarily mean that 99% of the physical material in a vial by mass is the target peptide.

Third-Party Peptide Testing: What It Actually Proves

Independent testing can provide valuable analytical evidence, but laboratory independence, sample provenance, batch traceability and analytical scope are separate questions. Learn how to evaluate the underlying evidence rather than relying on the words “third-party tested.”
